DP front sight - Tanfoglio

Hoping you all can help. Just got my stock 3 out shooting today, which I'm pretty sure has a Dawson 2.5mm x 4mm front sight in it. Love the sight, pretty close proxy to the ones on my G34.

Problem is, its an earlier version of the sight from what I can tell. The set screw doesn't line up with the divot in the slide and so the sight came loose today...actually it just about fell out.

Is locktite enough to keep this in? I'd imagine with the heat the locktite will burn off pretty quick. Do I need to upgrade to an xtreme sight that has the set screw in the right location?

I am sure some judicious use of a Dremel is in order here!

Get a new Dawson front sight.
The new version has the set screw in the right place.

Either that, or peen the sight and apply locktite.

You can use the dremel to cut open the locktite container, to get your dremel fix....

Dawson sights seem to be sold out at the moment....unfortunately

If they don't have them in inventory, they will make them to order.
If you order tomorrow, they would likely ship by the end of the week.
They just add it to the next production run.

Not sure on the dimensions, I have two (one is sold now). It's the Henning I Sight red fiber optic front sight.

I personally love the extreme with 1 mil fiber 5.75 or 6 is fine since u can adjust the rear sight loctite and dremmel are welcme as well...
