Ithaca's Dunnville, Ontario assembly plant

Thanks, I just learned something. I knew of Ithaca's the Model 49 lever-action .22 single shot, but I'd never heard of the Model 72 before. I wonder who the West German manufacturer was?
BTW, that gun looks in out-of-box shape! How do you like it?

EDIT: A quick Google search tells me... "The original Ithaca Made guns didnt work , and were recalled and replaced by the German built guns for Ithaca By Erma Werke, W.Germany from 1973-1978..."

Yes it was ERMA, even has the same plastic front barrel band and alloy receiver.

There's nothing in Dunnville now, except for Dalton McGuinty's windmills.

This is the way the whole province is now going, all the manufacturers are leaving as it is too expensive to run a manufacturing plant in Ontario now. It was on the news a couple of days ago that the days of Canadian auto manufacture in Ontario are limited, Ontario is now one of the most expensive places in the world to manufacture cars with our high energy costs, high taxes, high union wages and governments general unfriendly business practices.

Here's my M100 20ga IC/M. Previous owned a M200 20ga, M100 12ga, M500 12ga.

Its all Stephen Harpers fault. Just ask that repulsive waste of skin Premier of yours.....

Hey Super, I have the exact gun! pretty sweet eh!!
You're right. The last one I had was a M200 20ga IC/M. A fellow offered me an even trade for a NIB Browning Citori 20ga with screw-ins. I took the trade and regretted it almost right away. Took me a few yrs to find this one and it's not going ANYWHERE!

The only thing I don't like about them is that are missing one trigger. :)

And what follows is all the small business too. I wonder how long Ontario files Chapter 11?
I live in a ghost town these days with high taxes!

Now THAT would have been a nice gun! Never owned a Model 200 myself (yet). I first bought a 12 ga. Model 100 to carry me over until I found the 20 g. version I wanted, then the plan was to sell the 12 ga. Well I got my 20 ga., but the 12 ga. isn't leaving either. Every Model 100/200 thread I've ever read is filled with tales of woe ending in "Wish I'd never sold/traded it".

It is no different in NS. When I came out of university many moons ago everything was booming mining, steel making, fishing etc
All gone now other than a very small fishing presence and young people going out west every year by the 1000.
Retirement area is all that is left with crazy taxes. Small example my property assesment went up 44K over the past two years
Nuts
Cheers
