AR15: bolt getting stuck

Thanks again for all the suggestions. I'm a little unclear as to how the reloads could be improper. I have been reloading for my 308 for a while and do check my cases to make sure they're in spec.

As for the hammer, I checked and seems to be fine.

The manufacturer is sending me a firing pin in case it's out of spec which may account for the no primer strike.

What I am really thinking the issue may be is the flaking finish is preventing the lugs from locking intermittently.

So far the manufacturer has been responsive and I have not had an issue getting to a rep, so now ill just have to wait for the replacement parts to see if they fix the issue. The more I think about it, the more I think it's all coming from that damn bolt,

I'll update once the hardware arrives, and thanks again for all the responses

Just shoot some Federal, Remington, PMC, or whatever "decent" factory ammo you can get your hands on. Norinco is junk and I personally won't use it in any of my rifles, and it's very easy to handload something slightly out of spec and have the problems you're having.

Step one of troubleshooting a semi auto is to try different ammo. A box of American Eagle 55gr will cost you less than $10 and then you will know if it's the rifle or the ammo.

Good luck.

Had a friend with a Norinco upper that did the same thing. Fired a couple hundred rounds before the problem started. The bolt was the culprit. Once replaced has run fine ever since.

DINGDINGDING! That's the winner.

I got my replacement bolt and firing pin from the vendor a couple weeks ago but only got to try it out today. Works flawlessly now with Magpul PMAG, LAR, and factory magazine. I only put 20 rounds down range but it was flawless. Very happy with this rifle now and customer support was top notch.

Thank you everyone for the responses and suggestions. Everyone here is always so helpful :)
