Federal Champion vs. Winchester Wildcat...what's better?

Whatever shoots best in the firearms you are using it in. Federal Champion seem to work the better in a variety of guns I used them in.
But the GSG1911-22 seems to like the Wildcats, in my experience.

Have had better luck with Federal in mine
Have you tried cci blazer .22 in the 500 round box and if so how does it compare to cci standard velocity in your guns? I can get a couple bricks of that but have enough plinker rounds like winchester so I need relatively accurate rounds now!

I've had equal success with both in my 10/22 and gsg 1911. I will say that the wildcat is the only Winchester ammo I've had success with.

I have terrible luck with winchester in my model 60. Bought 4 of the 333 bulk packs a couple weeks ago just because they were the last ones on the shelf other than all winchester rimfire in 50 packs. Luckily I bought the 22/20ga on the weekend so they will work fine in it. The cci blazers work well for me though and cycle perfectly through the semi.

Federal is a little more consistent and seems to run better through semi-autos, but if you're using a bolt action rifle or a .22 revolver, the Winchester will work fine. Winchester and Remington have really let things slip when it comes to .22 bulk ammunition....they all work I suppose, but Federal is a little tidier.

I have found that Winchester has slightly thicker brass. I have a henry mini bolt that my daughter shoots (well I guess it is her gun) - granted it does have a bit of a tight chamber but federals and mini mags never fail to extract - when shooting winchester brass I have to have the little jewelers flat head handy to pry out the brass - even changed the extractor on the mini bolt with no effect on the winchester brass.

I put 100 rounds of Federal through my 597 last night. Of those 100, I had 4 FTE's and 6 FTF's. I haven't cleaned up the ramp and bars yet but I would say that it was picky... Good thing I only have three bricks of it! Will try out the Wildcats next as I've got a brick at home.

What I'd like is to see a supply of CCI back!

I've used both and from my experiences the federals seem to work better overall and on a larger selection of guns. However YMMV and I'd definitely use both before stocking up. I would definitely recommend trying a 50 pack or two of each type if you can find them to see how your firearms respond. I'd let them tell me what to order but... Federal champions get my vote over wildcats based on my experiences.
