Hey guys, I've never really been an "AR" guy, I enjoy my NR VZ58, but with all the reclassification stuff going on I decided I'd join the dark side and get into the AR game. I spent a lot of time looking through the posts on this forum, getting ideas, researching, checking out pictures of some really awesome AR's on here. Cost was a factor with me so I pretty much knew from the start I was going to go with a Norc, I have several Norinco handguns and they have always worked great for me, and even work better after I tinker with them, smooth them, swap parts. I've built several 1911's and quite a few 870's so I was looking forward to trying my hand at an AR. I picked up a brand new 10.5" Norc at a steal of a deal. Then went to work on the parts, I pretty much new what I wanted before I put this rifle together, and even got most of the parts before the rifle showed up. I tried to purchase everything from site sponsors, CTCS is my new favorite lol. Anyways, it was a lot of fun to put it all together and even more fun when I got it to the range on the weekend
what a blast this thing is to shoot! I wish I had got into the AR game sooner! The gun ran flawlessly! Anybody who is on the fence about getting an AR, JUST DO IT! The deals on these Norincos are too good to pass up, or spend the extra and get something else, just buy one.
The rifle isn't finished yet, i'll be switching out the trigger and the BCG, and I'm waiting for my ASAP sling attachment and my AFG to come in, But for now this will do just fine. Put the usual Magpul stuff on it, everything went on great with no issues. Troy free float rail is awesome! I love the flaming pig! And the Vortex seems to work really well.
