That's a good price for a classic Glock in what sounds like great shape. There are a lot of shooters who don't care for the finger groove grips on the 3rd and 4th Gen Glocks.

CAn we get gun grips or sleeves to modernize the grip?

And where can i get them?

Dont bother with a sleeve get some tallon grips mild are rubberized medium and spicy are sandpaper like. Love my medium talion's on my chunky little glock 30 gives it some texture without taking a soldering iron to your gun. No finger groves glocks are awesome for 400 id be on that quicker then rob ford could eat a doughnut.

I bought mine off glockstore.com if you order from them get a stainless steel recoil rod and leave the rest stock

I'm not a fan of the finger groves on my G17 gen3. A Pachmayr slip-on smoothed them out a bit and the added girth actually feels better in my hands. Picked mine up for ~$15 at the LGS.
A $400 gen2 sounds like a good deal in that condition. I'd be interested in getting a gen1…..just because

Err, most of the ex-police gen 2 Glocks I've seen were very well used, lots of wear inside and out. Make sure you get a chance to look it over to be sure you will be happy with the condition it's in. The price is excellent if the gun is in very good or better condition, merely okay if it shows the signs of 15 years of holster carry.

Count me as one of them! Truth be told, I was disappointed I had to settle for a gen 2 for my M17, after 6 months of looking for a Gen 1 I had only seen one and it was well used. Now 3 years later I still have only seen 1 Gen 1 that was in the kind of shape I wanted to buy. But I really dig that evenly pebbled finish around the grip.

Now this I don't get. If you are going to change the grip aren't you going to end up with something like a Gen 3? What's the point? Gen 3 is usually a lot easier to find.

I received it , amazing shape inside out, I still prefer the glock 3 or 4 though,,,, if anyone ever wants to trade you know where I am lol

A gen 2 is in the mail to me too, tracking number gets checked about every hour lol still a few days away thou, sadly!
only thing is no carbine kits can work on it because there are no rails, but other than that from my reading, the gen 2s can be awesome!
