I have been looking for a nice 1897 winchester pump for a while just because I like them and think there cool. I want to shoot it and I like the way the cowboy cut downs look, so likley going to pick up a number mismatch with a cut down barrel. I also want to look cooler than the guys I shotgun hunt deer with and all there modern plastic stock shotguns. If I use 2 3/4" 1oz slugs in a 1897 will I still look cool after I trip the trigger on a big buck or will that be overshadowed by the dripping blood and gun parts scattered around me? Any input would be appreciated.
