Hello fellow shooters, I'm seeking opinions on the BLR from people who have owned one.
I've recently come across a chance to exchange my lightly used Savage 111 7RM for a BLR in 308. This trade is awesome because I can't afford a brand new BLR but a trade for one locally is doable. The savage kicks the daylights out of me everytime I shoot it but so far I just love the gun. Guess because it's my first and hits everything I aim it at. If it wasn't for being so light, I don't think the recoil would affect me that much. Maybe a change of stock if I decide to keep it.
I also would love to have a lever action and the BLR has all the combinations I like. Lever action, box mag, accurate centerfire rounds. Lever actions are just awesome! I know that they're not inherently as accurate as a bolt action, let alone a savage. What I'd like to know is how many of you have the BLR? What do you think of it? And would I regret trading a tack driver for a fun lever?
