M&P 5" Pro Series Question

Anyone here know if you can put a 4.25" M&P slide assembly, either 9mm or .40 S&W onto a 5" 9mm Pro Series frame?

they are not the same slides.
the 5" has a longer slide.
but the inner stuff is the same, the rails and such if thats what your talking about.

or maybe im missing something in the conversation here.

if we are talking the slide you can see here in this pic that both the frame and slide are a inch longer.

i went and got my guns and tried, i swapped the 9mm and 40 both with the 9mm pro core.
the frames are the same on all 3.
the 22 and the 45 have different frames though.

the frames of the 9 and 9pro side by side

the slides

and the frames with the slides switched around

you learn something new every day, today i learned my new things are 2:43am, haha!

w_u_n, how do you like the more aggressive palmswells on the C.O.R.E? Better or worse than the standard palmswells that come with the M&P's.

if i could buy the new ruff palmswells for ALL my M&P's i could, in a heart beat.
hell id pay good money for them.
i LOVE the new ruff texture ones.

in fact i like them so much that the the 3 that came with my PRO CORE i put the sizes i didnt want on some of my other guns, i'll use a ill fitting palmswell that is ruff over the size that i prefer.

if someone was smart they would start selling those aftermarket and make some bank off of the M&P market.

yup, looks to be.
i cant see any difference between the frames on them.
they look 100% interchangeable.

i had read somewhere the the springs where stronger on the 40 though.
