very ###y... TAC21 chassis? once I get the funds together I really want to buy one.

Well it's Friday the 28th of March and it's pouring cats and dogs outside. The forecast call for more rain outside including tomorrow, Saturday. Hopefully the snow in the butts of Mons Range will be melting, but here's the rub: all that mel####er drains into the butts building.

And now we have to use our hip waders. I've had more people ask to register by sending me money (who doesn't like that?) but I'm reluctant to take any more monies for fear (Hope I don't jinx the clinic) of the cancellation order from Borden Range Control.

There ya go. I'm trying to keep all involved in the loop. Keep tuned to this thread.

Cheers and fair winds!

Barney

We're heading up from the GTA and staying Friday and Saturday night.

Cool. I'm only about a hour away but I intend to stay up there as well. I won't book anything until the teach gives us the final word. As soon as we get the ok lets plan a Friday night! I'm sure there are lots of great places to go drinking near a military base lol

Here is what I'll be bringing. Pst 6x24 FFP, vortex rings, 20moa rail and a coretac solutions brake. All atop my brand new savage 10FCP- SR. I've had some awesome 100 and 200 meter groups. Now hopefully next weekend we can see what she does at long range.

If Borden Range Control cancels it due to water issues, so be it. We are guests and I'm glad to have a range I can show up and shoot at without having to cut the grass and fix the target frames and paint and fix the buildings.

My daughter signed up, she's going to use my Aussie Enfield:

I've shot this out to 800, did very well.

Well done Jrw on getting your daughter involved. My daughter is only 3.5 and thus far her favourite princess is Merida. Which is great because this character shoots archery the entire movie. So my daughter has a replica Merida bow that she carries around the house all day lol it is incredible how she naturally has perfect form when she draws. I hope one day I can have her in tree stands with me.

The two people joining me to Borden will be my buddy and his girlfriend. So your daughter won't be the lone female. Should make her more comfortable.

Thx. She works with all guys, so it's not an issue. She's been out to CQB's as well when she has the time. She has 2 girls, 10 and 8. They're interested too.

31 March 1850 hrs.

I want to keep everyone updated on the latest discussions regarding the snow pack/ snow melt / rate of drainage, happening at Mons Range (Not happening anymore at Mons)

I am currently negotiating to use Amiens Range right now. Will confirm and keep you all posted. Amiens Range is 100 yds to 500 yards.

31 March 2130 hrs.

I am in touch with the ORA Secretary who books the ranges. We are a GO for the clinic. Here's the next unknown. We are at Amiens Range.

I am excited for this clinic.

I'm bringing a bolt gun just in case. I thing we will need a small piece of plywood to set bipods on for float in the snow to keep the bipods from sinking. Or if the snow is gone to keep the bipods from sinking in the mud.

Latest update:

* We are a GO for Amiens Range.

* Gonna be cold, wear coats, ski pants, rain gear, parkas, gloves, mitts and all that stuff

* expect puddles of water, freezing rain and the worst.

* Shooting mats, ensolite camping foam pads, to lay on while shooting and spotting for your shooter, you will be laying/lying on the wet snowy ground. Don't mess with these temperatures and conditions. I want you to learn as much as you can

* Keep dry clothes in your vehicle so that you can change into them for the drive back home, be comfortable and anticipate cold & wet conditions.

Stay tuner right here in this thread/post!

Cheers,
Barney
