This may be the last Mannlicher Schoenauer ever produced. Note Steyr logo also appears on this rifle. It is a Model 72 in 7mm RM with a beautiful period correct Kahles Helia Super 3-9x scope. Checkering is in Oak-leaf pattern with deep relief engraving throughout, including on the quick detachable mounts. This rifle has never been fired.

Double set triggers.........me likey.
How much blood was shed to gett'er?

I didn't buy it, nor did I ask if it was for sale.

Also note the safety - the entire bolt shroud turns to engage/disengage the safety.

I should point out that the rifle left the factory like this and was displayed at the SHOT Show - I am not sure which year.

The M72 was the final M/S, it was a cross over from the M/S to the new "lettered" Steyr models that were to follow, I have seen similar engraving on the later lettered series in the Luxus grade, M72's were not very popular and are seldom seen, and a must have for a serious Steyr collector.
