Tonight i am at the kitchen table with two 7 year olds....my daughter and my girlfriends son. We are cleaning my High Power and Beretta M9. I had them out shooting earlier this week. For whatever reason I always seem to drag along my BHP on 9mm days. I have a dozen or so 9mm's and the BHP just seems to be my fav.
After stripping both guns down and cleaning them my daughter reassembled the BHP and the boy did the Beretta. They both looked very carefully at the Beretta when they asked why the BHP looked older than the Beretta. Was is because I used it more? When I explained how old the BHP design was and then the Beretta was they were shocked. When I asked why they explained it this way.....
"Well the Beretta has more parts and you can see some of them moving around on the outside of the top cover piece but the other one has fewer pieces. aren't they supposed to invent new stuff that makes things less complicated? I don't know why more pieces to clean or break would be a better invention"
