Took it to the range today. I've had the Soviet one from 1952 before and wasn't too impressed with it, well it was OK considering how old it was. This one is Polished unissued TT that I got almost a year ago and never shot. Day and night. Accurate with surplus ammo and not a single problem :)

I bought 2 Polish Tokarevs. Both unissued. stamped 1953 and 1954. One to shoot, and one to keep. From what l've read, they were all pretty much the same. Russia brought them out, and the rest of the Russian satellite states made their own using the same plans. I love mine. if your thinking of getting one, just do it. You won't be disappointed. I know indoor ranges won't let you shoot it, but that just gave me an excuse to join an outdoor range too.

Yah I bought 3 Pol Toks! One for me and two for a rainy day, but after two friends shot mine, they talked me out of them :)
I put almost 1500 rounds threw mine so far without one malfunction !!
Great gun that super cheap to shoot, and you don't have to sit at the reloading bench!
Friend got me to like these guns, his was a real nice Russian Tok, just as nice as the Pol's.

Dale Z!

Love your pics op i do. but... that is one fugly gun, i mean they say glocks are ugly but they are prom queens next to that thing, i dont know what folks see in them.

i think they are neat guns. the fact that they shoot the 7.62x25 makes them prettier to me.

Beautiful Tok. Glad to hear some folks are happy with Russian examples. I have a Polish '53 but want to pick up a war era Russian for the collection, wouldn't be so keen if everyone thought they were crap.
