I stopped at a local gun store on the way home tonite and saw a used CZ75 SP-01 Shadow.
Everything looked good (to me anyways I'm a noob) no rattling, barrel looked good. Buleing was nice and not worn anywhere. Trigger felt good.

Comes with three mags and they are asking $700.00

Is there anything I need to check ?

700 seems to me at least a good deal..

The finish is usually a good indicator. Since many SP01s get used for action pistol the will often be quite banged up or have heavy scuffing on the front of the dust cover from going in and out of holsters. Also I would avoid it if there has been any work done to it. I paid 800 for a new two tone a while back. They are hard to get sometimes so 700 might be a good price taxes in.

Take the side off and look at the rails and inside the side for finish wear.

Note that you WILL see some wear. The black finish will have worn off at spots along the slide rails. So don't expect the rails to look like new. But do look for rounding over that indicates more than just finish wear.

While the gun is field stripped use a flashlight to check the barrel. It won't be worn out at all but you want to look for any signs of a swollen "pocket" along the bore. If there is one then it should be matched by a bulge on the outside of the barrel that you can feel. Such a bulge would have been caused by a squib load and then firing a second bullet behind the stuck bullet.

Really though the CZ's are such a tough and sturdy design that if the outside looks good then the typical wear to the insides will be just fine. You really only need to check for signs of a squib and second round shot that has bulged the barrel.

And given the description you gave I'd say $700 for that package is good. It's not a bargain give-away price but it's a fair one.
