don't spend 100 dollars on a sight tool, because that is what a good tool is going to cost, plus shipping plus taxes.
Get yourself a good vise, and a set of good quality punches, plastic, brass, alum. Not only cheaper, but a lot better.
Sight tools are gimmicks IMHO for people that are not 'mechanically' oriented.

I just used a 5" piece of 3/16" square key stock and a piece of electrical tape to keep from scratching the slide and sight. If taking off the rear sight, be careful because the striker plunger spring and cap is under the rear sight. I bought this tool from Brownell's and it works great for holding these pieces in place. Costs $3.99
FYI...remove sights from left to right or towards the ejection port side. Install from right to left.

That's thinking outside the box..
with the proper tools you won't mark anything.
If you need evidence go on you tube, there are probably 500 videos of people changing sights. I am not talking bubba the gunsmith...
