After installing Mossy 500 wood off the EE. What do you think? 8rd capacity and wood...

The wood gives the 500 a classic look....I like it! Not crazy about the bed cover however. Reminds me of the "Bay City Rolllers" Been getting cold sweats all day....

I want to find an old Winchester Defender (7rd tube?), with the wood furniture. I saw one on the EE, but it was just a guy who didn't remove his ad after it sold.

I bought the 500 wood for $30 on the EE, I think (bought it a while ago, just got around to installing it). The forend is a little lighter shade than the buttstock, but otherwise the wood is in great shape.

What a surprise, 'Walnutz' loves wood

Wood looks great on a shotgun. The 500 feels a tiny bit heavier right now, will have to see the difference when I shoot it. The recoil pad is about 1/2" shorter than the one on the polymer buttstock. I tried to swap the other one on, but it was too wide and looked like crap.

ya i have a older 870 wingmaster with the wood furniture and i love it. I am more partial to mossbergs so i would love to get my hands on yours or one similar. A 590 or 590A1 with the wood furniture would be sweet as well.

il take the butt stock if you have the bolt for it. Not sure what those sell for.

IMO…"nice wood" looks great on pumps but would pain me when it gets dinged and scraped. For this reason my Mossbergs wear synthetic stocks.
