Anyone know who might have these/be able to bring them in?

I'm sure they're not quite as refined as the AX556, but the price would be much better.

Any other thoughts generally on Aero?

If you get enough peeps, Irunguns might be able to do an order OR you can run it through them to order you a one-off. Might cost a bit more for their importation fees.

Thanks. That's been my last resort option for a while. I was hoping some of the vendors that carry Aero might bring some of these in. Really aren't many FULLY ambi options, let alone at this price point.

It's not really a "full" ambi lower. It should have a protected left side mag release. I personally wouldn't go with this and I like Aero (They make Armalite upper and lowers). I'm not thrilled with the look of these ones either.

I like the KAC ambi the best but the price is high. Second is the rare HERA HLS. Third ATR. Otherwise don't bother worrying about ambi. Put I'm a Norgon mag release on a good lower and call it a day.

Or you can try and source a retro fit Teal Blue Bravo ambi bolt catch, get yourself a file and you are good to go.

I would consider it on a on a budget lower(NEA Z lower....), but not on anything top shelf!

That's cause it's stripped.
You'll notice next to the add to cart is the option to add a norgon.
So they've thought of that.

That's not what I'm talking about. The true full ambi lowers have the left side protected mag release well. It mimicks the right side protective well around the release. Look at the KAC. The ambi mag release on the KAC is purposely built in with the protection around it. Even on the Herra it has a protected well around the left side Norgon release. It protects from accidentally activating the mag release just like the right side.

If you're going ambi then go all out. There's no point paying a lot extra and not getting everything.

Oh I see what you're saying.

I guess they aren't really going for that effect.
You're certainly not paying a lot extra. You're paying for the extra part and having it streamlined into the receiver.

The part retails for $50us last I checked. Or was it 60 ?
Provided you can do the pro quality install yourself, and not have to hire a smith, you'd still have to get it professionally re anodized to match what you're getting from them.

It's a excellent deal really and you're going to pay considerably more for the lowers you're comparing it too.

True about cost diferences.

Ya I don't know. I really like Aero but the ambi bolt relese looks like a Mickey Mouse afterthougt to me. Granted I'm seeing it on an iPhone and maybe in real life it looks good? I've never used a BAD lever but would this current offering by Aero be preferable?

That's exactly what it is kind of, minus the mickey mouse. It's called a PDQ. A part another company came up with that allowed you to modify your lower to add an ambi release.
You'd have to cut away at your lower to fit it. Aero jsut had the bright idea of streamlining it in, and I applaud them for it. It's a quick cheap way to offer ambi.

Provided you don't mind cutting up your lower, it seems way better than the BAD level to me. BAD levers have been known to cause malfunctions in some rifles, and then you have this unsightly piece of crap hanging off the side of your rifle. At least I don't like the look of it.

I think the PDQ could look bad too, if you suck at installing it and end up bubba hack jobbing it in there.
