Anyone know where a 5 round flush fit magazine can be found? I'd like one for my SKS project. I think a steel one was available before. If not I guess I can cut down my factory one.

Flush as in you cant see it sticking out of the stock? Never seen it before it would be interesting to see!

Most of the SKS sold in NZ have five round mags, the mag has been cut down. I have a seven round mag on mine, and there is not much difference between the five and seven. Both allow the SKS to be easily carried (easier than with the larger ten round mag).

You are referring to the SKS hunter. 5 round steel fixed mag. Last time I had one was from the SKSMAN about one year ago. He is the only one that I know that had some. Good luck.

We used to be able to get the flush fit steel 5 round SKS mags here, I have one on a Chinese SKS. They are very good quality and function fine, never had a problem with FTF's. Unfortunately the supply has all dried up and they are in demand on the second hand parts market. We can get a almost flush fit synthetic one, not as nice but useable.

Ya I was reading Canucks94s thread I like that SKS alot, other than his stock choice. He made some slick peep sights. Had to stop reading it though too many negative douche bags telling him he doesn't know sh!t. Ha guy helped start marstar, burn haters.

Essentially they are simply taking a regular mag and cutting it down the same as I did. I didn't go as flush because I didn't want to cut too close to the mag lock that holds it in place. I wanted to leave a little bit more meat on the assembly. So I just openned the bottom of the mag while it was in place and scribed the steel sleeve along the stock then I carefully removed as much of the bottom cover as I could leaving enough to fully cover the sleeve assembly. Remember to leave enough of a tab at the back to latch properly.

My Chinese SKS came with one (metal flush). I replaced it with a "proper" 10 rounder. I'm willing to part with it. What is the consensus on a fair price?
