So I got a little trigger happy on this deal and bought a new Stag 1R off the EE with out knowing exactly what I got. I'm pretty new to AR's so what i got from the description is it is 1/7th twist 16" barrel and I'm not 100% sure what the rest mean/does. I will type exactly what is on the original receipt from when the seller ordered the rifle, thanks.

"1R Carbine, Custom Request.
Barrel: 16", 1/7, MP.
Barrel Ext- Ext Feed Ramps.
Bolt Carrier Full Weight "LE" Type
$1396 from Arms East"

MP= Magnetic particle tested
Ext Feed Ramps= It has M4 ramps/cuts in the barrel extension
Bolt carrier is M4/M16 as opposed to the lighter semi-auto type
$1396 = the price the Arms East charges for the gun. ;)

From doing some more research, it looks like the original owner was setting this rifle up for longer heaver bullits with the 1/7 twist, full weight carrier, and M4 feed ramps. I guess we will see how it performs with the 3000+ rounds of Norinco 55gr FMJ bulk ammo I have.

1/7 twist is fine for ALL bullets, light to heavy. I typically run nothing but cheap 55gr Norc ammo in my two ARs with 1/7 and have no issues with accuracy. 1/9 or less has trouble stabilizing the heavier projectiles. I once mixed up my reloads and shot 77gr through my SP1, which has a 1/12 twist. The group was all over the map!

Those are all stock Stag offerings, not a custom job for heavy bullets. 1/7 is the standard rifling in Military rifles (better for stabalizing tracers) and as such is popular in civi ARs.

You will have a great time with that rifle, and 55 gr pills is all my Stag eats (so far).

Welcome to the club! Soon you'll be as covetous for add-ons as the rest of us (covetous or broke, take your pick).

That's a great rifle! It's almost exactly like mine, which I bought new from Arms East.

It'll chew through that Norc ammo no problem.

It's going to be perfect shooting this weekend; get out and shoot! You're going to fall in LOVE with it once you get shooting!

^^ THIS ^^
Pics for sure so we can all ewwwww! & ahhhhhh!

Shoot straight - chrisco

My computer is down, I'm just using an iPhone right now and I don't know how to post pics on here with it. But if someone wants to volunteer to post them I would be happy to email them over. So fare I have added an Eotech EXPS2-0, Vortex VMX-T3 magnifier, and a BUIS.

Very nice, love the optics. Waiting for a Stag 1r too myself, stupid Canada Post made transit error, now back on its way to my place. Congrats!

Took it on a trade for a Savage 12 lrpv :) I will change the quad rail eventually and put a longer modular handguard & low profile gas block.
