finally got my first pistol

well as the title says I finally went out and got me a pistol. Decided to go with a beretta 92fs, it just seemed to fit me better then the others that my local gun dealer had in stock and i liked that it was metal and just felt at home in my hands. I was kind of expecting a long drawn out deal with the cfo considering that this is my first restricted but it only took two days and now it's mine all mine, just have to get to the range to warm it up. I have not received an att in the mail yet just the temporary one that's only good for a couple weeks so my question is can i still use that att to take it to the range or do i have to wait on the other one to come in the mail?

The temporary ATT is usually just to take home from the dealer, check, it will say on it.
Call and ask them to email a copy of your LTATT, you will get it right away then.

Congrats - love to see new pistol shooters......I find pistols tend to multiply in the vault alarmingly quick :)
 
That (92fs stainless) was my first pistol as well.It is one of only two I have owned so far that never had one single issue.The other being my CZ Shadow..
 
Thanks guys i can't wait to get to the range and try it out. I can see that it needs a friend in the safe already it looked lonely when i locked it up yesterday. I have it in my head that i want a glock too, but ill have to wait to see how i make out with this one first.

Congrats on the Beretta! It's a nice pistol. Unfortunately you have to wait to shoot it though. You need both the ATT to get to the range in addition to the actual registration certificate that will also come in the mail. Technically, a "Transfer Notification" letter isn't good enough. You need the actual registration certificate.
 
As said by others,:) congrats on your first and welcome to 'the club'. My first was the ;)fabulous .22 Erma Luger. At the time, I couldn't live without it. Hey, I had to start somewhere and everything has been uphill from that day:p.
