Hi,
few questions
1- I have few parker hale 1200 super clip one of them has a different bolt release piece. Instead of a lever type its a kind of a press button type. Wondering why its different ? year manufacture maybe ?
2- the bolt itself. they both look similar, the strong mauser silver. When I cocked them, I see the hole on the base so I can insert a nail that help for the disassemble but its not there on the other one..

here is few pictures that hopefully will compensate my broken english lol

You have a late P-H. The hole is totally normal, it appeared on "commerncial" or "civilian" mausers late '40s....

If you post a pic or giver me a clean description of the letters / numbers of the proofmarks (where you see the amount of proof tons) around the "X" i'll be able tot ell you what year it was made. I suspect it was made later than '82, more like after '84.

serial is C10998
wondering how I can disessemble the bolt without that little hole on the back of the bolt ?
By the way, where on the net I can find the years of manufacture by the serial number ?

thanks

Serial doesn't help. Need the Proofmark.

To disassemble the bolt, you need to push the cocking piece out and insert a pin inside the hole - you can also perform this while the bolt is cocked, like in your pics. Then, you press the shroud lock pin and turn the shroud to unscrew it.
To remove the cocking piece, you need to push it outside the bolt shroud and turn it 90 degrees. It will unlock by itself.

When there is no disassembly hole, you are going to have to hold the cocking piece back. I grab the bottom of the cocking piece in a vice, and pull. Push the bolt sleeve latch, and unscrew the cocking piece.

The rifle with the push button bolt release/ejector assembly- Take the bolt out and look in toward the barrel breech. Is there a collar against which the barrel is breeched? The earlier rifle will have one.

I know how to remove the bolt from the receiver lol
Was just curious why this rifle has the push button release on the side and no hole on the bolt for disassembly while my others ph are like that. And they are all 1200c super clip except for one which is hinge mag)

no it doesnt have the collar.

As I said, this is a late 1200 (or M8?) modification. By getting the proofmark, I can tell you exactly when it was made. Without that, well, that's just guessing.
