Where to find High quality cleaning rod and accessories?

Hi,

I am looking to buy some high quality cleaning supplies. I have found a store that sell 1 piece coated cleaning rod and accessories : h ttp://www.proshotproducts.com/Cleaning-Rods_c_118.html

The problem is that is a USA store and i want to find a store located in canada. Do you guys know where i could find those kind of items in canada ?

Dewy Rods work real well and I like them, but as with any plastic type coating, you have to watch what solvents you use. I still have my old crappy steel/brass ones I use when working with solvents.
 
After some reading I would like to find a tipton rod 44 inches (because i have a mosin nagant), but i only find 40 inches rod in canada. Any idea where i could find one online?

Amazon have a Cleaning Rod with 22 to 26 Caliber and 8 X 32 Female Thread, 44-Inch, 1-Piece. Would it fit for any caliber higher? (.303, .308, 30-06)

technically yes, the problem is, once you start pushing bigger patches down the bore, that little 22cal rod will want to flex alot...

whats it made from?

I think they have different diameters of rods in the longer lengths mostly to maintain stiffness. The friction on the patch with a larger calibre could cause a thinner rod to bend and touch the sides. I bought a coated 44" rod to clean my 24" barrel. I needed it to be that long to use the bore guide I have. You could use a thinner rod on a larger calibre but maybe buy another thicker one for your .408 Cheytac. :redface:

There are many dealers across Canada who will a good quality one pcs. rod.

I made a 44 inch rod from a CF issue Parker Hale cleaning system. Just removed the rod section that was in it and got a piece of 1/4 stainless steel rod,drilled and tapped it then put it in the handle and voila! Done!
