NcStar rubber compact scopes

Have seen them on the market for a few years already, are they any good? I will be scoping my QBU88 soon, and need something with relatively low magnification, compact and simple. I was thinking about fixed 4x with objective lense being somewhere 32 and up. And of course NcStar is right there. How about their durability, can they stand some field use? Parallax issues? Are they holding zero? Comments please. Alos, if you have better idea than NcStart please bring it forward. Thanx beforehand folks
 
I bought one of their lasers once. It lasted exactly two rounds so I would suggest avoiding their stuff.

My experience has luckily been a lot better then yours, bought one of the flashlight and laser combos off a friend an its been mounted on pistols, my 12.5" shotgun with few thousand rounds through it with the light attached, still works 100% and laser stays on target, an I've shot fair bit of 3" shells with it mounted not just 2 3/4".

As for the rubber scopes I haven't used one so cannot speak for it.
 
Had a "rubber-armored" scope and my paintball gun killed it. Bought one I thought was better back when I started shooting and my .22lr killed it. Owned some red-dots - total junk. Thats been my experience. If I cant afford what I want, I wait til I can now. Much less disappointment!
 
I've seen an NCstar red dot last hundreds of rounds on an AR, and I've also seen them come out of the box broken. That said, on the one that works, you can barely see the dot in daylight. Moral of the story is they are unreliable and cheap. You may get one that works, just don't drop it. The QBU-88 is not a cheap rifle, so why not get something decent. Maybe consider one of the Sightron 1-7 rifle scopes.
 
Had an NCstar Mk III tactical 4x32. It lasted about two years then the inside of the optic lense chipped in the lower left side causing a black spot. The reticle was also a few degrees off center too.

just got the Fastfire style green dot made by Ncstar,..., has the auto brightness sensor I can tell the metal is softer...I already bent it. It is a very decent easily visible dot in daylight. For $90. it is decent.

If you want a bulletproof fixed 4x scope that won't break the bank, look on the EE for an older Leupold M8 4X, you should be able to find one for $200 or so.
