Lancer is now doing some fancy looking SR25 pattern .308 magazines:

From the bang-switch

Lancer Systems announced the new L7AWM .308 (7.62x51mm) magazine to complement their existing line of L5AWM 5.56mm magazines. Like the popular L5AWM 5.56mm mags, the new L7AWM takes a hybrid approach to the construction of the magazine by marrying a polymer body with steel reinforced feed lips. A stainless steel insert is located in the nose of the magazine to protect against wear during high volume firing. The magazine will be available in either a translucent or opaque body.

Another interesting feature of the L7AWM is a switchable drain on the floorplate of the magazine. This allows the operator to configure the magazine for waterborne environments or dusty/sandy environments.

The L7AWM will be available in 5,10 and 20 round versions with larger capacities planned for 2014 and the magazine is 100% US made. Pricing has not been announced.

Hopefully the five rounders are shorter overall.
Not just blocked internally.
I've got like a dozen p-mags, but always end up using the crappy xcr-m mags in my lmt mws because of their shorter height. Much better for prone shooting off of a bipod.

whats wrong with using an extended mag as a monopod? I have used 30 round .223s on my AR in service caliber shoots and they were perfect.
