I'll never buy a Glock

i reload and pickup many 40S&W at the range, i cringe everytime i see a monstrously bulged case.
rather have a single shot than a glock.

A lot of people throwing out the "inexpensive" terms here, but they're not exactly chump change.

If you get one with Trijicon night sights, you're closing in on four digits after tax.

You can get a pretty decent rifle for that.

I know it is meant in relative terms compared to something like a Sig or HK, but hardly inexpensive/cheap.

agreed...The whole HK are too expensive thing is silly when you start adding things to the Glock ends up being just as expensive.

Well said... People have their minds on US prices... Man, aren't they lucky!

I will do.
I am not sure which parts I need. I gotta do my homework on that.

Bahhhh!!! I've owned several HK's ( USP, P30, MK23 ), always been really happy with them, also bought spare parts, waited several months..... Got them then sold everything... Bought a 21 sf from another CGNer and BAM! I was stunned! Completely sold! The gun was accurate as hell the first time I got to the range, only paid 550$ for it, new!!! Decided to buy spare parts just in case (was it really necessary.....no), got everything in a week from GlockParts.com. What can I ask more? The only thing I really did not like was the sights, I changed them right off the bat. For the price, this gun is hard to beat.

Yeah, the Hogue grip was the "in" thing to do overseas, too, for the 9mm Browning.

If I can't stand the texture when I'm shooting it, I'll definitely go that route. I think I had to take off the side plates on the browning, though, so when you put a sleeve on the Glock, does it not get absurdly fat?

I installed a Pachmayr sleeve on my Gen3 G17 to smooth out the finger grooves(which I'm not a fan of). The added thickness actually fills my M/L hands nicely.
I believe the Hogue sleeve has a palm swell were the Pachmayr's are flat. I could be wrong…won't be the last time.

My favourite gun in the world right now is the P30L V1 light LEM, but I will run a glock 17 with absolutely no objections, if a HK is not available for the job a Glock is definitely my number 2 option, and more often than not I recommend a Glock to other people over my beloved P30L

The whole Glocks are cheap thing is really not true. You can get a lot of really nice guns for Glock pricing -like my CZ Shadow. Cheap, I mean great value - M&P range kits. Heck the M&P even fits the human hand!

Ya...maybe in the US of A. Last time I was in the gun store (a couple of weeks ago) I asked on Glock prices and whoa!Having said that, I've seen some decent prices on .40 cal...not that I would buy one...maybe that is why. I seem to remember them consulting me on their pricing at one time :)

bought a glock 21 gen 4 usa from reliable 3 weeks ago , took it to the range with 5 mags 250 rounds and I got 2 failure to feeds and 4 double feeds, that's 2 bullets one with the casing bent the other jammed in the barrel bent. just an awefull pistol, I must have a lemon as ive shot thousands of rounds thru friends glocks and I don't limp wrist . all realiable did was look at the slide and say well shoot it but most glock problems are from limp wristing, wrongggggggggggggggggg . its the ####ing recoil spring and the extractor. so far I got a brass catcher rachis recoil spring kit that I just put on and ill wait for a lone wolf extractor. worst pistol ive ever fired. I ran hornandy plus p blazer brass and Winchester white box so not the ammo
