Hello

I've noticed that on my AR when im shooting it that in the chamber are little bits of brass left behind from the shell.

Should this be a conern, or is it the norm from the AR?

It's fairly normal. Brass is a fairly soft metal and those little flecks will not damage your AR. Different ammo manufactures' brass will act differently, as will the same ammo in different ARs.
Don't let it build up and you won't have a problem.

In the chamber? Or in the receiver?

Brass shavings in the receiver is often a result of overpressure. Soft low-quality brass exacerbates the issue.

Just clean them out with your regular cleaner. The star-shaped cleaning pads that get behind the locking lugs will get most of the brass shavings out.

Civil Advantage has a YouTube video about this same problem...... It looks like this is happening with some Norinco 5.56..... Not sure what brand you are using?
