What material in polymer frames?

Mo uses zytel, nobody knows what Glock uses, but internet rumors suggest a nylon 6. Glock polymer is like coca cola, nobody knows how it's made.

PA6 or 66 with a fiber content around 30%, or an alloy of both.

all very common. Most common engineering form is zytel

Nylon 6 is the German version of nylon to get around the DuPont patents on nylon 66. Nylon 6 is more common in Europe as a result.

Nylon 6 tends to be a bit "softer" and have higher notched impact resistance as a result.

Sounds like Zytel HTN 51 or 54 with 35% fill is very close then.

Thanks,
