foreend slide tube measurement mossberg 500

As far as I know, there s 3 types. One piece synthetic, 6 3/4in slide tube or 7 5/8 slide tube depending on the style and year. My issue is that I have a one piece and I purchased a wood forend that requires a slide tube. And there's no way for me to find the year of the foreend.
 
Not sure this has been answered for you yet but yes there are 3 types 6.5-6.75, 7.625-7.75, 8.625-8.75 the most common one is 7.625-7.75 this size will fit most / all the forends out there and if you had the other 2 there is adapter nuts you can buy to make it work longer for the 6.5-6.75 and shorter for the 8.625-8.75
I read a post/link on how the convert a 535 forend to except a slide tube but can't find it now measuring mine over all length of the forend is 8 inchs so I would use a 7.625 slide tube.
