only 1 turkey tag at a time?

Just got back from trying to buy my turkey tags. Went to the new dealer in town and he says he can only get one tag until I report it before I get the second tag. So I drove out of town to the next issuer and tried again. Their computer says the same. Anyone else have this issue?

I have bought two tags at once one time. Oddly enough, that was the only season where I didn't get out a single time...


Page 31 of the Hunting Regulations:

Both spring licences may be purchased at the same time;
however, only one wild turkey may be harvested in a day.


I suggest going back to the dealers, with a copy of the regs in hand, and asking why they're misinforming their customers.

I know. The computer system would only allow the sale of 1 tag per person. At 2 locations. I'm going to call the mnr Monday morning and ##### them out

You can also buy on the phone 1-800-288-1155, or online. They say you can buy your second license but you must make a second phone call.

Son and I always buy our four tags at Service Ontario before we leave for the trip... saves on the running around when we should be hunting or scouting.

yeah, it sounds like a glitch. You can definitely buy two at a time. Oh I can;t wait for gobbler season

I've always bought my 2 together. Last year I did it over the phone and my tags were a week late into the season

On the positive side the turkeys here made it thru the hard winter and are actively strutting.

I picked up both my turkey tags at a service ontario centre. I always get both at the same time. Happy hunting!!

in quebec, it's new for 2014, 2 turkey but only for some hunting zone, the other zone it's only 1. bought the license yesterday, 2 tag attached to the hunting license

It was a glitch in the system. This is the guys first season selling tags. He's good to go now for both tags

Ontario tags have been subbed out to some low cost bidder out of the States for a few years, cheesy plastic tags and a glitchy system and our personal info in the hands of some outsourced company in the US of A. Took a few tries to get my tags at the local Home Hardware last season
