ive handled one at a store here in wpg. some people say that they are no good, however im not sure why. Ive never shot one, but the fit and finish was nice, the safety switch and charging handle were smooth. Plus they have a life time warrante, so i dont see how you can go wrong. Its still on my "watch list" for my upcoming fist AR purchase.
Fit and finish has exactly 0% to do with quality, especially in the AR world.
Black Forge is ####. End of story.
I picked one up today it runs good. I used Amer eagle ar.233 ammo shot very nice. But it lacks rear optics (aiming is a chore) for the price it is a good investment
Some of us can't justify big money on a rifle that can only be used at the range. I'm of the opinion that AR's are like pizza and ###. "Even when it's bad it's still pretty good." I know they aren't top of the line rifles Mr."blah blah I've got tons of disposable income..... blah blah" whatever. Thanks to the guys with real feed back that have seen and handled these.

You didn't get the answers you want so honest opinions from d#$k heads with disposable incomes is what you've come up with. Some of us can't justify big money on a rifle that can only be used at the range. Actually I asked for opinions on the Black Forge rifles on their own. Not as compared to a gun that costs 3x as much. That's like asking someone to compare a Corvette and a Yugo. I'm definitely in the Yugo category for money. My local small gun shop can get the Black Forge guns and I try to support local business when I can. I Googled them and all I got were AK reviews from the U.S. (the AK's get good reviews) My mind is far from made up I'm just trying to figure out if the lower end ARs that are a couple of hundred bucks more are really that different from a Norinco.
