STI Sporting (Tactical) Rifle, with a bunch of doo-dads that make me feel special.

Nice Elcan, right?

Though it is a travesty to call a few thousand $$$ of fine Canadian Glass a "doo-dad".

3 Years of refinement has lead to this....

So here's where I'm at right now. I still can't decide which upper or sighting system works best. The farthest targets have been 85 meters. The belt setup replaced my chest rig but a total re organization is now necessary. Also not sure about the thigh rig. I only used it because of the chest rig and to free up some space on my belt but it is a little awkward at times. I did all the work on the Benelli SBE myself including welding up the carrier. It was a quicky job so I might buy a new carrier and re do the welding to make it prettier but is totally functional right now.

Now that I know everything functions perfectly, I will be getting the Benelli CERAKOTED very soon. I might even do the AR to match once I decide on the upper. The SBE II is simply the smoothest Shotgun out there and the 3.5 " capacity is a bonus for the extra 2 3/4" shell. 7 +1 +1. Yesss.

This is how they look right out of the oven just before heading up to Lone Butte for the redneck 3-gun. It is my new business venture Cerakotebc@gmail.com. Factory trained and certified Cerakote applicator.

I really need to get all these guns in the same shot for a photo!

Open Pistol: Jericho 941 compact with a Canadian legal barrel that's been threaded. The "9mm Battlecomp" on it is a custom creation.

Open Shotgun: Akdal Mka 1919 magazine fed semi-auto. Razor red dot on top. Mags are 5 rounds here, but I use the full size ten rounders down south.

Open Rifle: Tavor TAR-21 with Timney Trigger, Razor 1-6x, and Atlas bipod.

Finally somebody slummed it up! Good for you sir from another cheap and cheerful shooter!

Haha, glad you approve! I always like to tell people thinking about 3-Gun that they don't have to spend a bundle on the firearms: $300 870 (seasonal Rem rebate), $530 Norinco AR (Marstar), $550 M&P, good to go for $1380. More cash for practice ammo!

My Sti Ar. I will be using a tanfoglio for my pistol...and possibly a remington versa max.

So, just a question; what is the point of the mega-extended magazine tubes on the semi-auto shotguns? Is there any practical purpose for it? is it just for looks? I can understand having one on a pump-gun, but can't wrap my head around the semis.

Some folks have them plugged for Canada but then compete in the USA. Alternatively, some shotguns are chambered for 3.5" shells. Since they can legally only hold a max of 5 shells of 3.5", some guys plug them to only hold 5.999999 Shells of 3.5". Just so happens that means you can get a lot more little 2.75" shells in there!

Also, it's nice having the tube stick past the barrel a wee bit to protect the muzzle & front site when you dump your shotgun in a barrel.
