Does anyone use these, I use an engine crane at home for the skinning and butchering but loading a bear into the back of the truck by myself is nearly impossible and I think the hoist would be nice for gutting in the field as well. What do you guys use and where did you buy it?
 
I have used one since I was thirteen. I welded one up for my second year of hunting and don't go out without it. I've built probably 50 of them over the years they are very simple. I skin and gut on site all the time. If you skin then gut you save the hairy mess and the carcass cools way quicker.
 
I'm in the GTA until tomorrow morning, any one know a place between here and timmins that might have 1 in stock? If not I'll have to try to find some time before bear season to make one.

MegaSteel in Newmarket should have everything you need. Lots of stock and willing to deal with the public. Good luck, post pics
 
I have access to all the stuff I need to build it but I was thinking there might of been a place around that had one of the ready made one in stock.
