Hi mate, My .270 wears a Leupold VX2 3-9x50, not high mounts with a mm clearance from barrel... poifect

They don't make the elite in 4-12 anymore. 4-16 is the closest current model.

My 'shooter' pre '64 Win M70 .270 wears an older gloss Leupold Vari-X III 3.5-10x40mm.

My Rem 700 BDL .270 wears a vintage gloss B&L Elite 3000 3-9x40mm.

Both scopes very adequate for those rifles.
