Recommend me a powder for my AR15

I hear what you are saying and totally agree. The only thing that give me pause is when I took apart that AE cartridge, nothing about the bullets they used struck me as premium. That being said, I do have a box of 55gr vmax Nosler bullets, I should try those with the H335. Maybe I'll also try a heavier bullet too. I have quite a bit of the H335 so I'm going to have to find something it likes to push for sure.

Not possible to tell a bullets precision by just eyeballing it...Like Rodregier was saying it's what's on the inside that makes it precise...Base, jacket and wieght tolerances is where it's at...The way AE ammo shoots for me, I'm pretty sure their 55FMJ is a fairly precise projectile...Those Vmax bullets you have will tower above those bulk bullets you have as far as precision and I'll bet they will shoot with H335 too...Have fun.

Higginsons lists bulk 55g SP .224 diameter bulk projectiles (among others).

Remember that a 14 1/2" barrel is going to have certain limitations on accuracy, especially if it's not a bull barrel. I have had pretty near spectacular results with Benchmark powder. My best 100 yard group is 5 shots in .28" at 100 yards and that was with $100 scope and a non-match trigger. However my gun has a 24" SS bull barrel with 1:10 twist and I was using 52 gr. Sierra Match Kings that I weighed individually.

While nothing is etched in stone, generally speaking you will get better results in fast twist barrels with heavier bullets.

Thought I'd pop back in and mention this was spot on. Loaded up the Vmax using same charges and there was a significant improvement in accuracy. Even noticeably tighter than the AE as well that I was originally impressed with.

It was interesting to compare the patterns of same charges with different bullets. I figured buying a better bullet would produce better results but didn't realize the difference was so dramatic. Learned a valuable lesson in bullet purchasing. Thanks!
