Mods, please leave this up! I've tried the EE for a long time with no luck. Better yet, sticky this and so that others can make a wish list for other nutters to keep an eye out for.

CGN'ers, as we all know, gun auction/ gun show season is upon us! I have tried desperately, in vain, for a while now to find a replacement barrel for my colt trooper. I squibbed it about 2 months ago and cannot for the life of me find a barrel. I will be attending a few myself, but ofcourse, harnessing the collective power of all of you will certainly help! Finders fee can be negotiated, but as I am a recent University grad, I can't offer any huge sums of money ( especially since barrels for these won't be cheap to begin with). I have some gun related items I no longer use that I can also offer as a finders bonus. Plus, the good karma associated with helping out a fellow nut who very frequently helps others on here.

I'm looking for--> 6 or 8" blued barrel for a Colt Trooper in .357 magnum. ( no mk.3 or mk.5's, just the original Trooper). Must be in excellent shape overall, with or without front sight.

I have the option of having a gunsmith shorten it to 4.2", removing the bulge in the barrel, but I would prefer to keep it original. That being said, I would sooner do that than spend too much on a barrel. my phone number is 705-358-3770 so if you happen upon a barrel at a gun show, please call me so I can confirm that I want it at that price and so I can edit this ad saying that Ive found one so that 3 people don't simultaneously buy a barrel on my behalf. I can send EMT or MO to whoever finds me what I'm looking for.

Thanks

This is a picture of one I got off google. Note, the lack of underlug.

Last time I asked they don't import barrels. If that's changed I'll be calling them up as well. And from what I've found out there are no restrictions on importing a barrel into Canada (as long as it's over 105), it's the US that won't allow you to legally export a barrel without all the applicable paperwork/permits.

Buy one off gunbroker and have irunguns export it for you.

Thanks Mild. I have come across a few barrels, but like you have noticed aswell, most were 4". Times like these renew my hatred for our gun laws.

I'm looking for a few barrels. Found one I want in the US. I called Irunguns last week. Didn't get the name of the fellow I spoke with but he said they do not import barrels from the US at this time. Perhaps you want to check on that before searching US sights.

Prophet River will do barrels and any other firearm part for sure then.

Pardon my ignorance if it's the case; I never had a squib issue yet but I was assuming it was possible to push the squib out of the barrel (in the normal exit direction) with a copper squib rod or wood dowel...

Are there cases where it's impossible to get the bullet out and it's stuck in there permanently or impossible to get it out without permanent barrel damages??

I'll keep an eye out for a barrel!
