I have been looking for a super short, light, and inexpensive shotgun for my wife.

The 13" single shot looks pretty good to me.

Anyone try the ARMED shotguns yet?

There is a 13" pump model too that looks nice.

How do these compare to say the Norinco or Dominion Arms shotguns?

I picked on up but I haven't fired 12G in it yet.....tried some .22 long cb's out of an adapter and it worked well.
Better quality then the backpacker, way lighter and the plastic stock has lot's of storage opportunity inside.
It's an extraction system not ejection.

I picked up one last week and tried it out two days ago. Great little backpacker and you don't even know you have it because it is so lite. I put a limbsaver on it and very nice to shoot. Like to put a pistol grip stock on it if I can find one to fit. Well made.

I've long been tempted by one of these small shotguns, but if carrying for wilderness protection I'm concerned that a single shot may not be enough. It's not like they are quick to reload. But they are very pack able.

Not the first action choice for a predator attack or general assault.
But better then the proverbial pointy stick..... Ejectors would be faster but still no wear near a lever action, pump action with a magazine.
I like that it's not ejection for running a .22lr conversion adapter.

I think of this as more of a cheap tool that could be handy in situations where weight and size are issues.

Maybe someone should design a bayonet adapter... :)

I've got the single shot. Seems like a decent little shotgun for the money. My trigger was crazy heavy but it was an easy fix to take the buttstock off and adjust it. Other than that, no problems. Its f*cking loud though, but everything this short will be. A 3" shell through it kicks HARD.

Armed Gladiator PAS 12 ga, 18" MARINE, PUMP ACTION, chromed
very light, trigger is pretty good, action is smooth, kick hard, fixed cylinder choke, the pattern at 20' is about 2 feet. shoot a few clays
a chromed shotgun for 288$(include tax and free shipping)
imho not bad

For regular firing? Or protection in the woods and limited discharging?
If firing alot, the shorter and lighter you go, more the felt recoil your wife will experience.
If that is even a concern for her that is...
