I think shooting CQB is about the most fun I can have with my clothes on.

The course of fire is a series of shoots that only take 20 seconds to a minute to run. The course of fire can be modified to suit a particular range. Since it only involves 35 yards to 10 yards, just about every outdoor range is a candidate to hosting CQB.

These videos will give you an idea of how the CQB matches at Camp Borden are run.

Working on try to set up one of these at my club. Thanks for posting the videos gave me a few more ideas. Lived in Borden for three years, either this wasn't being done at the time or somehow I was unaware.

I would help with organizing this in the Winnipeg area if there's interest, this is something I'd like to do very much.

If you guys can set up other provincial matches, eventually we can hold inter-provincial championships. Let's make CQB as popular are IPSC!

Here's hint. When I do this I use one 5 round mag at first. Then a coupled two 5 round mags, and end it off with one 5 round mag. I find it better.

As for the modified prone, I prefer to shoot that left handed, supporting the rifle with my right hand, and using my left to fire and change mags. I find it far more comfortable. Doesnt seem to help my shooting though. Gotta get my zeroing sorted out.

Yes, I do too. But, you can only do this with a rifle that has a mag release that can be reached with the left hand. This includes my Norinco AR-15, my 858 and my Hi-Point carbine.

The worst gun in modified prone is the SKS. It is hard to get the stripper clip in, with either hand, when laying on your side.
