Can we have CS/LR14 rifle in Canada? the new super tactical type 81.....

They looks like a hybrid of ACE23 and AK12, seems very ###y, wondering if we can have them in Canada since they are not AK......

I though type 81 with wood furniture looks a bit too much like AK and this one certainly not looking that "SCARY"

Contrary to popular belief, classifications are not made on llooks by the RCMP. The 12(x) named prohibs were by looks by politicians, the classifications since then by the lab have been mechanical variants of prohibs.

Politicians banned guns on their looks.

Mounties ban mechanical variants of guns that were banned by politicians.

Thanks for the info and best luck with TYPE 81 and this variant :p

What about the AP-74 and AP-80?

The Mitchell arms ak22 was banned by name as an ak variant. Written in by law. The ap74 was written into the regs by name by politicians as restricted under the AR15 section.

The ak22 was banned by politicians. By looks.

The ap80 was made on the same assembly line as the ak22, in the same factory, and mechanically is identical to the ap80 in every way. Just a different label affixed.

The ap80 was banned as a mechanical variant of the Mitchell arms ak22.

Lol... GSG-5 is a mechanical variant of the MP-5?!!?!?!?!?!

Anyone who's been paying attention knows the RCMP makes their decisions as much on cosmetic appearance as anything mechanical.

Remember a type 81 rifle is a Ak47 in 5.56 and a type81 carbine is total different. Its like the type56, one is a AK and one is SKS.
