Is it wise to use a 5.56 fake can on a 9mm??? What size is the hole on the end of the can, you know, where the bullets come out.

As far as I know with the reverseable fake cans the bore hole is not caliber specific. It's the same size as the diameter of the cans threads. I got a 1/2 28 reversible can with .223/5.56 printed on the side for on my 9mm carbine works fine of course. There is no .223 sized bore hole even though it says for .223/5.56. just make sure your threads match
Assuming it's a midlength gas system, no, the fake can would hit the gas block.
If it was a carbine gas system, and you have a 1" long low-profile gas block, then that would work.

You'll have to confirm the thread spec for the M22 because I cannot find that info online.
