Here a trick, it work good, unwrap the rifle from the brown paper, take clear plastic (Saran wrap) and wrap it tight, just leave a little opening at the muzzle, put muzzle down in a carbadge can , put in direct sunlight on a warm day, wait a couple hours, after 90% of the cosmo will have drain at the muzzle.

What did you put on stock after you used mineral spirits?

Just a threat of G96. Sprayed a little on clean cloth and applied sparingly. The mineral spirits left a bit of an oily coating as well.

Quality essentially. They Yugo SKS is as much better than a Russian SKS as a Russian is better than a Norinco.....
It's like comparing Mossberg patriot rifle and a similar calibre rifle make by Sako...

Ok so quality is better? I've never held one, so I gotta ask what quality wise is better? Better steel, better stock, better barrel, bluing? I personally find it hard to believe that it's that much better than a bullet proof Russian, that it could justify the price difference. Or is it the rarity more than the quality that makes the price so high? Like I said I've never held or seen one in person, I'm just wandering why so much $

Rarity is the first reason. A Russian all matching , non refurbed in US is way more expensive than Yugo in the same condition.

^^^^ this, a new sks with all the gear on it to fire grenades! Even though it seems like a lot, this is the first batch to come to Canada in 6 years! Cool factor is way up there too!
