Aaaand Im sold. Going to come check out this beauty in person in a couple weeks. Sorry if I missed it, but what is the cost of a complete build?

Nope. Same receiver shape however there is a different method of attachment at the rear of the receiver. The MS has eliminated the rear spring loaded trunion pin that was used in the MV. I think this was done both for cost savings and to allow for the use of a standard unmodified safety selector. The trunion system in the MV interfered with a standard safety selector unless it had some material removed.

Not to mention the rear of the lower on your MV would need to be milled down for the CH to fit and function.

Thanks , it’s understandable, as you probably do large batches at a time.

Maybe a custom, one off? For an extra fee.

It's the price for a full batch of anodizing, so as I understand it, that extra fee would be nearly $900... I could be mistaken, but I really don't think you'd end up with the results you're looking for.

But if it happened to come back restricted for whatever stupid reason, and they sold a whole bunch to people... ATRS, along with everyone that bought one, would be in some ####.?

Actually no one would be in ####, we would just need to register our lowers as per law. pretty simple concept.

Thanks ATRS for letting me handle the new rifle today, and for answering all my questions. It all just made me that much more excited to get my own in hand.

Looks freaking awesome, congrats on the progress. My only change would be to ask for no extra "Canada" and leaf on the upper if possible once you start production on uppers. I think the ones on the lower are cool but one is enough IMO.

All of our modern hunters and varmints have had the same image on the upper, and I expect that will continue on through the sporter. At least for the slick sided upper. With a forward assist and integrated shell deflector there likely won't be any space for CANADA and a maple leaf, at least on that side of the upper receiver.

Hey Rick,
Once the first batch of receivers are machined, how long do it take to anodize them?
And once anodized, are they the finished and ready for shipping?

I’m guessing you can only do so many at a time.
So, would it be, machine 100 lowers, then anodize them ,then ship?

Thanks

The anodizer that we use is usually pretty quick for turn around. If I drop off a batch of lowers, or uppers or whatever, we usually have them back in 2 weeks or less.
Once we have them back from anodizing we then check each and every part, yet again, for tolerances and overall finish, then oil them. At that point they can be shipped.
We are leaving it up to the individual whether they want us to ship the lower separately or together with the upper once they are ready to go.
If shipped together we will take the time to match them as best we can and it saves some shipping costs, but again it is up to the individual how they want to proceed.
