Registration shut down?

Just something to think on, this is pure speculation on my part!

In the past when prohibited classes were created the "Grandfathered" individuals had to have a firearm in that class either registered to them or application to register made before the cut off date.

At that time we were handicapped as import approvals were delayed.

With the current system if the CFC registry was closed "application to register" would be impossible. Computers could be down, there could be staff shortages, files could be lost, the excuses are endless.

If you are thinking of purchasing a currently restricted firearm I would not leave it until the last minute, you might find that due to "Technical difficulties" you have run out of time, there would be no appeal.

I hope your right, I think it will be the AR-15's and other semi-automatic rifles first. But make no mistake, handguns will be next and all our other firearms as well. They will not stop until they have achieved utter disarmament.

Why would a tyrannical government trust law abiding citizens with firearms? They want us to be helpless sheep that can be controlled or even eliminated if necessary.

Sheep with guns can contest the vote of wolves that states "what's for supper"!!..............

Well, one error is that there would be no appeal. I can't imagine courts would look at the government not doing their job then refusing to clear up the backlog for registrations. I can't guarantee you would win, but I certainly would prefer that side of the case in court. Governments can't really operate in bad faith with no consequences as long as there is a free court system...and there is in Canada.
