Welcome aboard. If looking for a first pistol in 9mm it would be hard to beat a Glock of whatever generation you like. Alternatively, a Smith and Wesson M&P9 is also a great gun, and can be had for less coin.
Look to your front! Mark your target when it comes.
Welcome! I could recommend a Glock/CZ75/MP9/Browning HiPower. If you are in very limited budget, some Norinco could last you for a year.
