Kobra red dot sight

there are even inconsistencies with the pictures of it on the TI site so who knows until someone actually gets their hands on one

Yeah thanks for pointing that out, personally from some digging i've found that the model with the switch ends in M, this model "appears" to be newer and has an on/off function via holding down the button to swap reticles as well has followed the Chinese style lightened mounts.

That's a big improvement to the design because the ON/OFF switch on previous versions has seemingly had a tendency to break, such that many of the Russian online stores that sell the Kobra offer dial replacement kits.

Great to hear!

Is the side mount rail that comes with the Type 81 Picatinny Kit the same as the one included with the Kobra Type 81 side mount kit? And if that is the case, does that mean one can just by the Kobra scope if they have already installed the Picatinny kit, just swapping the Picatinny rail and whatever optic is mounted on it for the Kobra mount? This would mean you could start easily swap between a magnified optic on the Picatinny mount and the Kobra red dot. You couldbuy the Kobra kit as your first side mount kit, and buy the rail separately for a magnified optic if TI starts offering it as a separate item.

Adapter plates are different, they are made specifically for each and not interchangeable. That being said you could just keep either Picatinny or Kobra attached to the adpater plate and just screw on/off :)

Comes with everything shown in video :)

So these do have the switch to turn them on off (top right hand corner) or they do t like your pics ??

Thanks! You may want to research which other scopes fit the Kobra rail: you might be able to sell a mounted magnifying optic for those who want to Tabruk out their LMG :)

So the scope mount base (which attaches to the sode of the reciever) is different between the picatinny scope mount and the kobra scope mount?

That's what they are saying. Both mounting rails fit on the threaded portion of the replacement pins, so they can be swapped with a tool, likely without re-zeroing the optic that is sitting on the mount.
