The Sherwood Park Fish & Game Range and conservation property is about 40 minutes south east of where you are. Shooting is permitted only on the Ranges, however there is one Black Powder (round Ball) trail. The property is approx 700 acres and includes kms of hiking trails. Website is [url]www.spfga.org[/url
Range membership which includes access to everything is $90.00 per calendar year. If you buy now, you can get 1/2 price for this years membership if you buy a 2010 membership at the same time.

I think AFGA has a quarter just north of the SPFGA property that permits "foot access only" hunting....better check their site.
I also think "non bird hunting" is permitted on the Ministik Lake Bird Sanctuary which is in Strathcona County.

Spending a week in a cabin in hillcrest mines, alberta with friends and I'm thinking of bringing a NR firearm or two. Does this area have any no discharge laws? Or are there any service road/crown land nearby?
