Chinese Type 81, heard they are coming to Canada

Mine will be new to start they over the use I give them they will have that battle worn look anyway.
I say keep it as is and let nature do its thing

I think you are right :) Let time and wear take its own course.

I am a tad worried about spare parts, as I like to keep a few on hand, but TI said they can do repairs. Still, I like doing them myself.

I hear ya on the extra parts but from what I read these things are built like a tank......doubt any failure at 10k plus rounds with proper cleaning and oiling wouldn't worry bout extra parts kits as they tend to be really pricy for some reason....probably 300$ plus like the 858 parts kits.....for that price I'd just buy 2 rifles

I 100% agree. I usually become quite intimate with the guns I purchase, taking them down as far as I am comfortable. That way I know what I can and cannot replace myself. I don't feel like paying someone $100 to replace a $15 part. And if you have it on hand already you don't have to wait once something DOES give way.

And icelink, any firearm will require spare parts if you use them enough :)
