Is this a normal status update?

Application status shows as “Processed”, but the description is:

“Your application is with the Chief Firearms Office of your province OR your application has been rejected for failure to contact the Canadian Firearms Program to update necessary information. If you have questions or concerns, please contact the Canadian Firearms Program using the MyCFP Inbox or by phone at 1-800-731-4000”

Should I be calling them or is this a normal part of the application process?
 
They (prov CFO) need a piece of info for which they haven't bothered to reach out to you. It may be: range membership details, spouse's input, clarification of some circumstance unique to you and your application.

You need to contact the CFO of your province. It can be tricky in that they may not answer phones directly (or with a delay) or use only email. Either way, you have to initiate contact and resolve any issues politely.

This just happened to me today I’m going to contact them later today when I’m off work but did you figure out what’s going on?
 
Looks like they have updated the description message. I have contacted them and now they have changed the message to previous one.

Application Status: Processed
Description: Your application has been submitted for processing. If you have questions or concerns, please contact the Canadian Firearms Program using the MyCFP Inbox or by phone at 1-800-731-4000
 
This just happened to me today I’m going to contact them later today when I’m off work but did you figure out what’s going on?
I contacted them then they said that there is nothing I need to do it’s just now at the point where they do background checks and stuff like that and told me if it takes longer then 30 days to contact them
 
I got the same thing today, they didn't accept the additional ID, I sent them another and I still got that respond, Is there any update regarding your PAL application

Call them if you have questions, they gave you the phone number as a hint....
