I use this Larue mount in 30mm, it clears the rear site, when folden down and has no isses with the charging handle, im even using the PRI gas buster with the big latch on it, still plenty of room. Theres a few other manufacturers that have slightly different versions of the Larue mount.

Larue is probably a little out of my price range, and would the scope still clear the FSB on a standard rifle?

How much was the PRI charging handle?

I think the PRI was a hundred and change? Ive had it a few years.

Check ArmsEast (link at the top) for American Defense Mounts.

The LaRue's are awesome but as there is no Canadian dealer they are expensive and hard to find.

Most scope mounts will not clear the standard triangle FSB. However this isn't a big problem with most scopes. If your worried about it, either remove the FSB and put a gas block or dremel down the FSB.

The RECON is a $235 mount though....

Worth it. While the larue has less moving parts then the ADM, the ADM lets you adjust the tightness of the mount as much as you want. Plus there is more clamping area on the ADM.

There are lots of other mounts out there, but I have not found one better then the ADM. I have recons, as well as mounts for Aimpoints T1, and M3.

I don't know of a better mount that will solve the eye relief problem then the ARM recon.
