☻☻ Keltec Sub 2000 Gen I Bolt Tube Cover and stuff ☻☻

For $20 I don't know if you'll get anything cheaper but ABS pipe may be the medium if you're handy.

use a 2" wide Velcro strip (the fuzzy side), makes for a nice cheek weld especially when it's cold outside

The hockey tape idea actually seems decent. I found the rubber purpose made cover to be nearly as cold and painful on the cheek in the winter as bare steel. I suppose if you aren't often shooting in -30 like myself it wouldn't be an issue though.

Being in the market for one, any McGyver ideas out there anyone wants to share? For about $20, I can get one that is purpose-designed(if able to be shipped to the Great White North) but let's see what the collective IQ of CGN has come up with.
Thanks for looking.

Go to your local hardware/Canadian Tire store and get yourself a short length of pipe insulation (1" X 3ft will do). This insulation is already split and should be easy to wrap around the stock tube. Cut to size and use some electrical tape wrapped around the insulation on each end and you're good to go. Total cost, less than $2.00. I know the stock tube diameter is greater than the inner diameter of the insulation, but it doesn't matter if there is a gap on the bottom.

Thanks again Ditka! My tube cover isn't here yet and I was able to get out yesterday. Bought some adhesive Velcro. Worked so good, it may just stay there! I don't want a higher cheek weld anyway and I don't know thick the tube cover material is so.....
85 yds banging steel with little effort-tons of fun!

Received my parts today. Nice accessories actually. Super easy installation and all looks to make the next range day even more fun. Ended up with an extra tube cover, charging handle cover and recoil reducer-they are on the EE.
Also installed a Hogue Handall slip on that fits as it should. Am I missing anything I need on this girl? Thanks.

A thumbs up to Tacticool Accessories...
Tube cover does exactly what it should. The recoil reducer is pretty effective, though I did trim mine down a little for full functionality of the charging handle's hold open slot. I have yet to try out the charging handle cover, as I have gloves on anyway and I think I will handle it better without. That may change come fair weather, the Hogue Handall is a great addition for sure! Feel free to pass on any other McGyver options and accept my thanks for them.
