♛ Value of a mint S&W 617 ??? ♛

I bought my first 17-6 around 12 years ago for $555. Shot it and got bored. Sold it a few years later. I regretted that decision. So I bought another one about 5 years ago for $700. I'm never gonna sell that one. ��
 
I just sold a mint late model 617 6 shot for 700.oo , but that was cheap to good customer /friend, at the shows, it would have been 800.oo, a mint 17 was the same price, as new , 1975
